I can point to a million things that make Nathalie an amazing girlfriend. Her adorable hair, uncommonly diverse vocabulary, and wonderfully long emails all make me smile. She’s definitely one of my favourite people. However, I think it’s safe to say that her awesomeness — which I didn’t think could increase at all — jumped up about a million points when she got me a freaking LaserDisc player on the weekend, an early 27^th birthday present. What better way to celebrate getting older than with ancient technology?

She got me an assortment of movies to go with it, but I’m rocking out the Die Hard tonight. I’ve included it in the photo because it’s awesome, and a copy of it on DVD for a sense of scale. The copy on DVD, of course, was also a Nathalie gift.
